Our Mission Statement
WHO ARE WE? We are a grass-roots group of citywide voters committed to improving the City of Oakland.
WHAT IS OUR FOCUS? We are targeting three areas that make a huge difference in the daily lives of all Oakland residents and their families: (1) Insuring public safety; (2) making certain that public streets, parks, lighting, and libraries are accessible and in good working order; and (3) demanding transparency and accountability of our city government.
WHY NOW? This year we will elect Oakland's new Mayor. Everyone running for public office and those elected to office in Oakland will all hear our informed positions on our three areas of focus. We expect to be loud and clear on what we believe will be best for all Oakland residents. We see ourselves as a critical resource for all Oakland citizens as well as the candidates and the next Mayor of Oakland, during and after the election.
WHAT CAN YOU DO? Watch this site for announcements about our next meeting, and join us. Spread the word about our organization to friends and colleagues and invite them to do the same. The larger we are, the stronger our message to the candidates and the next mayor will be.
